We built SafariLists so you never have to wonder if your money, safety, or experience is at risk. Here's exactly how we protect you.
Before any operator can list a single package on SafariLists, they go through our 6-point verification process. We check documents manually — not by algorithm.
They cannot list packages. Simple as that. Operators who pass but later violate our standards are immediately suspended pending investigation.
If you have concerns about an operator, use the Report button on any listing. Our safety team responds within 24 hours.
We never transfer payment to an operator until your trip has started. Every transaction is encrypted and escrow-protected.
Your payment is held securely and only released to the operator on your travel start date.
If something goes wrong, you have 72 hours after departure to raise a dispute.
Pay by card, M-Pesa, PayPal, bank transfer, or crypto — always encrypted.
If an operator cancels without cause, you get a full refund automatically.
Our review system is linked directly to booking records. You can't review a safari you didn't take — and operators can't remove honest feedback.
We comply with both European GDPR and South Africa's POPIA privacy laws. Your data is yours — you can export or delete it anytime.
All chat between travelers and operators is encrypted in transit. We don't sell conversation data to third parties.
Every booking offsets more than 100% of estimated trip emissions through verified African conservation projects.
If you encounter suspicious listings, fraud attempts, or safety issues — please report them immediately. Our trust team reviews all reports within 24 hours.
